EY and DigitalZurich2025 welcome Eric van der Kleij on board the Kickstart Accelerator team

As a global sponsor and founding partner of DigitalZurich2025 (DZH2025), EY is proud to announce the joining of the former CEO of Tech City UK and founder of Level39 Eric van der Kleij and his highly experienced team to the Kickstart Accelerator.

Having a profound experience in developing and advancing world-class accelerator programs such as Level 39 in London, Eric and his international team will build the Kickstart FinTech program which is to be launched in August 2016. “Adding the international FinTech connections to Zurich as a world financial center will prove hugely attractive for pioneering new talent and I believe that the close links being organized between founders and the partner companies will help to develop both high potential new concepts and the connections to rapidly scale for world markets”, states Eric van der Kleij. Kickstart is the centerpiece of DigitalZurich2025, a cross-industry initiative, drawing upon the combined power of 20 renowned companies, academic institutions and political representatives. Until today, more than 900 start-up teams from 40 countries have already applied for the coveted places at one of the four programs of the Kickstart Accelerator, focusing on FinTech, Smart & Connected Machines, Food, and Emerging Technologies. Among the applicants are over 200 FinTech start-ups, which reflects the growing importance of this pioneering industry. EY is looking forward to closely cooperating with Eric and his team in helping support groundbreaking innovation.
