We are looking forward to the EY Start-up Academy 2020!



The Bundesverband Deutsche Startups e.V. (Federal Association of German Start-ups) represents start-ups’ interests in Germany and is, thus, committed to promote a founder-friendly environment and to remove obstacles to business start-ups. In addition to advocating innovative entrepreneurship, the Federal Association acts as a network for connecting founders, start-ups and their supporters.


Business Angels

As the BA network with the largest number of members, Business Angels FrankfurtRheinMain brings together capital-seeking start-ups and their founders with Business Angels. They see themselves as a forum for private investors, growth companies and entrepreneurs – primarily in the Rhine-Main region, but active in the entire DACH-region.



Deutsche Bahn Digital Ventures is the CVC of the national railway corporation of Germany and is looking for cutting-edge, digital-driven ideas with disruptive potential and scalability. Deutsche Bahn Digital Ventures intends to invest in startups with data-driven business models in the areas of mobility, logistics, smart city, Internet of Things, artificial intelligence and Big Data – All within and beyond Deutsche Bahn’s core rail businesses. Investments will be sourced on a global basis, with emphasis on Europe, the United States and Israel. Funding is provided from the Series A to Series C stage.


Deutsche Börse

As an internationally active exchange organization and innovative market infrastructure provider, Deutsche Börse AG covers the entire financial value chain with its products, services and technologies. Its Deutsche Börse Venture Network connects companies with suitable investors, supports network building and imparts growth know-how, e.g. on Initial Public Offerings (IPOs).



Stock market listed company FinLab AG is one of the first and largest investors focused on the fintech and blockchain sector in Europe. In this context, FinLab focuses on providing venture capital for start-ups. FinLab´s aim is a long-term participation and ongoing support of its investments. In this regard, FinLab supports its investments in their respective development phase with a strong network and know-how. In addition, FinLab acts as an asset manager and manages assets in the three-digit million-dollar range.



The High-Tech Gründerfonds (HTGF) finances technology start-ups with growth potential. Since 2005, the HTGF has supported almost 600 start-ups. The focus is on start-ups in the fields of digital business models, industrial tech, life sciences, chemistry and related business areas. The fund has already successfully sold shares of more than 100 companies.


signals Venture Capital

signals Venture Capital is an independently managed, financially oriented €100 million fund. It invests in promising, sector-agnostic, scalable technological solutions that can accelerate or disrupt the transformation process of entire industries. signals Venture Capital focuses on B2B business models in Europe, for example in the mobility or healthcare sectors. The portfolio companies benefit not only from classic venture capital support, but also from the extensive ecosystem with renowned German and European partners, industry experts and diverse distribution channels.



SixThirty Ventures is an early-stage venture fund headquartered in St. Louis, US, that invests globally in Enterprise Technology startups – especially in FinTech, InsurTech and Cybersecurity. Each year, SixThirty invests in 8 to 12 new companies and participates in select follow-on opportunities. Companies that receive an investment from SixThirty are eligible for the SixThirty Go-To-Market Program, comprising curated meetings with corporate partners, mentoring and networking opportunities.



Frankfurt-based TechQuartier (TQ) which has been founded in December 2016 functions as cross-industry start-up hub. Next to flexible co-working spaces in 4 locations, accelerator programs and further events, TQ provides start-ups access to corporates and investors as well as to an international hub-network.
